The Jeans and T-Shirt Rulebook

Denim Jeans paired well with a T-Shirt are always going to be at the top of our charts of outfits. And we know that this is also the case for most of us here. One of the many reasons why we all love this combination as much as we do is all about just how versatile this combination is. It is our go-to outfit for any and all occasions, from family get togethers to casual dinner dates with friends and even for some office events. But just like any other fashion pieces, there are some rules to this as that you need to keep in your mind while styling and wearing Denim Jeans with T-Shirts.

The first and foremost thing that you must keep in mind while planning your outfit has everything to do with mixing patterns. Or rather, avoiding a mixed pattern look. What we mean by that is that it is better to avoid pairing a Jeans and T-Shirt which both have busy patterns on them. If you are selecting a Denim Jeans that has a busy or unique pattern to it, our suggestion would be to pair that with a Solid Colour T-Shirt or one that has a very minimalistic pattern on it. The same rule applies when your flip the pieces around as well - if your T-Shirt has a very crowded pattern, choose a Slim Fit Jeans that has less or no pattern to it. This way you balance out the busy pattern with something more subtle in your outfit.

The second thing to be on the lookout for is the Fit of the Denim Jeans, and also the Fit of the T-Shirts. When buying a Denim Jeans or a T-Shirt for yourself, it is very important that you be careful about the fact that you are getting a fit which is just right for you. For instance, say you are out shopping for a Skinny Jeans or a Slim Fit Jeans. The right fit for these cuts would be a jeans that does not stick to your legs like an uncomfortable layer of second skin. At the same time, you need to make sure that you don’t end up with a Jeans that is too lose for you. The same thing applies to T-Shirts as well. And if you are angling for a baggy look, make sure that you buy a pair of Jeans that is accurately cut for that particular fit.

The last thing is more of a myth than a tip. The saying that you should avoid pairing Light Coloured T-Shirts with Light Coloured Jeans, is something that you should not pay attention to. As much as we all love a Dark Jeans with a Dark T-Shirt, we are a firm believer that Light Coloured T-Shirts and Light Coloured Jeans can also look great together, if styled properly. For example, a White T-Shirt and a blue denim jeans are a good combination any season of the year. Similarly choosing a Blush Coloured T-Shirt or a Beige Coloured T-Shirt with Light Blue Jeans will also make for some great outfits.

So now that you have three of the most helpful tips that you can have for styling a Slim Fit Jeans and T-Shirt outfit, we have no doubt that you will come up with some great looks, all on your own.
